My Big Boy!

My baby is starting to be a "big boy" now. We have switched to our "big boy" carseat, (it actually is a convertable that goes from infant to toddler to booster so he's still in the infant position just not in the blasted carrier.) He was getting too heavy for mommy to carry in that carrier of his.
On Sunday he also ate cereal in his "big boy" chair for the first time. It was also the first time we tried spoon feeding him, it was a flippin' hoot to watch.

We survived!

Well we survived Jake's "first date" and his first Halloween. Jake's first date was with Morgan Scheib. Morgan was born 2 days before Jake and her mommy says that she is Jake's future wife, I have to say it will be fun for us if that acutually happens, the kids might not agree in...oh say about 15 years. I'll be posting pictures of their first date in the near future, they are so cute.
We spent Halloween night trick-or-treating and Jake managed to sleep for the better part of it but he did have quite a few opportunities to get some good flirtin' in with the ladies that night. Heaven help me when he gets older, he is already trying to work his charm. I think I'm doomed....I don't think I'll let him go on a real date until he's 30!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Isn't our little lion just the cutest lion that you have ever seen? I think so. We dressed Jake up in his Halloween costume Monday night and took pictures at his Grammy and Granddad's house. We're going to have to work on that growl though.

Well since I am going to try my hand at bloggin' I figure that I better figure out how to get those pictures of little Jake on here for all to see. Good Lord, he's growing like a weed and changing every day. There are plenty of times when I look at him and wonder where my little baby has gone to and then I remember that I never had a little baby...Jake came out ready to play linebacker. Jake is already trying to become so independent. He tries to hold his bottle and will take it out of his mouth on his own and try to put it back. It is quite amusing to watch him do that as he hasn't quite got the best hand eye coordination yet, Aunt Casey is going to have to work on that for basketball. He has the biggest laughs and giggles and I was informed by Tim yesterday that he discovered his feet. I was ticked that I missed that because I was sleeping since I got called out very early Sunday morning and needed the sleep. I've also already had the very first episode of him breaking my heart last Thursday. I was holding him watching t.v. and he was fussing so Tim came in to see what he was fussing about and he reached for him. That was the first time he reached for someone and it was to get away from me. I figure that it won't be the last time that he breaks my heart.

Welcome to Horton-ville!

Welcome to Horton-ville, my own little world that I spend most of the time in. If you know me well you can attest to me being in my own world and guess what it now has a name. Horton-ville revolves around a mighty little force named Jake. Hopefully through this blog I will be able to keep y'all up to date on the happenings in Horton-ville and make sure everyone gets to see updated pictures of Jake. Keep checking in as you never know when I might find a minute to update.
